Class topic overviews

We believe that children learn best when subject matter is related to content that engages and excites them.  We have worked very hard to design a curriculum which authentically links subjects to build on children's prior learning and creates enthusiasm for their learning.  We link extra-curricular and enrichment activities to our topics to inspire the children further, for example, visits from the fire service and rainforest workshops. We also link a diverse range of high quality texts to our topics so that our children are familiar with different authors and genres.
We continue to work hard to design a series of curriculum topic maps which ensure that children cover a wide range of skills and knowledge during their time at Thrussington.   See below for more information regarding topic maps by class.
