Ofsted & SIAMS reports
In 2023 Ofsted judged the School to be Good overall and Outstanding in Personal Development. We are very proud of our report, which is a very fair representation of our school - please take time to read it in full below. The report in particular praised our inclusivity and development of a broad curriculum:
'The school celebrates what makes people unique extremely well. Pupils have plentiful opportunities to explore different cultures and faiths. Pupils are highly respectful of others. They strongly embrace the British values as well as living out of the school’s Christian values. They enjoy activities including fundraising for the local community and for a partner school in the Philippines. The school’s programme for personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE) is exceptionally effective, including pupils’ awareness of personal safety. The school’s innovative ‘forest schools’ curriculum provides pupils with opportunities to develop their understanding of teamwork and environmental responsibility. ' Ofsted Dec 2023 The most recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection, carried out in 2019, rated the School to be Good in all areas. The report highlighted a number of areas, including "The pupils feel safe to express their views and be the person they are. Above all, they demonstrate a clear understanding that they should treat others with dignity and respect and this enhances their relationships with others." The School has an excellent reputation, with about half of our children travelling from outside our catchment area. The small setting and mixed age classes help to cement relationships across the School. Older children support the younger ones, creating a family atmosphere where children of every potential feel supported. This, in turn, helps pupils develop the skills, confidence and attitudes that will serve them well in later life. |
