Art and Design Intent

Pupils at Thrussington Primary School will be immersed in opportunities to develop their creativity through Art, Design and Technology across the school. We pride ourselves in our curriculum which aims to ensure that all pupils:

• experience food technology in all year groups
• know about great artists, craft makers and designers
• experience art from different cultures and eras
• produce creative work using the mediums of drawing, collage, textiles, painting and sculpture
• learn to use a wide range of tools safely
• evaluate their work using the language of art, craft and design

​To enrich our curriculum art we hold an Art Week each year and invite local artists to support our children to learn new techniques and work on collaborative projects.
