Welcome from the Head
Welcome to Thrussington C E Primary School
At Thrussington, we are proud to provide a happy, nurturing and aspirational environment in which every child is encouraged to succeed and develop their full potential. As a Church of England school, our work is guided by Christian values which place care, respect and compassion for each individual at the heart of school life. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued and encouraged, and this ethos underpins everything we do.
Thrussington is a small village school, set within the rural community of Thrussington in Leicestershire. Our size allows us to take a truly holistic approach to education, ensuring that each child is known as an individual and supported both academically and personally. We foster a caring and inclusive community where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built and children are supported to grow as well‑rounded learners, rooted in our shared values of kindness, honesty and respect.
I am extremely proud of our school community and the strong partnerships we build with families, the local church and the wider community. If you would like to learn more about our lovely school, I would warmly encourage you to contact the school office to arrange a visit. I would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

" Our school is like one big family’, said one pupil who captured the sentiments of many. Pupils love coming to this school. Relationships are warm and trusting. Pupils say that they feel happy and safe. They know that they are well cared for." Ofsted report 2023
